Storytelling con Giulia e Carolina

Giulia e mamma Carolina cercavano qualcosa di speciale da fare da sole, un magico posto tutto per madre e figlia e così ho proposto loro un percorso di English storytelling di 10 ore.
Pedagogicamente parlando dal mio punto di vista, tutto quello che un bambino fa con la famiglia è apprendimento; soprattutto se la relazione è felice, positiva, propositiva, affettuosa e divertita.
Purtroppo non tutti i genitori si prestano o possono prestarsi a simili esperienze che però sono le più significative nella vita del futuro adulto.

In dieci ore abbiamo letto e rivisto insieme circa 25 storie, antiche e moderne. Tutti fantastici albi illustrati (i miei preferiti) e tanta narrazione inventata. In questo corso Giulia ha portato un tocco magico, la sua voglia di disegnare e di scrivere fumetti.

Come sempre un'esperienza davvero magica, si inizia leggendo, si ride, si commenta, si inventa, ci si confida (per lo più i sogni dei bambini che poi diventano storie). Tutto avviene in modo naturale e così si perde la vergogna di parlare una seconda lingua ad alta voce, si apprendono vocaboli, si impara a scrivere, si impara a costruire storie e setting, a vedere ciò che gli altri non vedono.

Per nominare alcuni dei magnifici libri che abbiamo letto:

Abbiamo poi letto, che Giulia Francese mi perdoni, due storie di Hocus and Lotus. All'inizio del corso abbiamo narrato secondo i criteri del Format Narrativo della professoressa Taeschner Rat in the jungle. Il Format Narrativo è secondo me il metodo migliore e più rapido per trasportare le persone nel magico mondo della narrazione. Dico le persone e non i bambini perché più vado avanti in questo percorso di storyteller e più mi rendo conto della forza del metodo. Infatti anche mamma Carolina si divertiva a scoprire la giungla nei panni di Rat. Alla fine del corso, invece, abbiamo letto Fire. A parte la voglia di alzarsi e correre dietro alla mosca che è venuta a tutti, questa storia introduce l'argomento culinario. L'abbiamo assaporata dopo aver tanto letto di streghe e stregoni che cucinano e preparano pozioni e alla fine anche Giulia ha preparato la sua pozione magica.

and then mix it up.

Dopo aver letto Room on the broomstick e subito prima di leggere The little giraffe dal quale ho preso spunto per l'incipit (e senza ancora aver nemmeno nominato The musicians of Bremen), ho chiesto a mamma Carolina e a Giulia di portare a termine la seguente storia:
Incipit

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a dry forest with no grass but just tall trees, there lived a little giraffe and his best friend rhino. The grass was dry and the trees to tall to be reached. They were so hungry! One day ...

Mamma e figlia si sono prese dieci minuti per portare a termine la storia con tanto di illustrazione:

Giraffe and Rhyno decided that Giraffe, having a long neck and long legs, could have reached the leaves on the trees just jumping on the back of the strong Rhyno. So they did and once there, Giraffe took some sticks from the top of the tree, she built a bowl where to put leaves in. So they could eat together. 

Bellissima è la storia che mamma e figlia hanno inventato insieme partendo da alcuni elementi imposti: a forest, a river, a castle, a goat, a cat, a boat, a princess, a prince, a troll.

Once upon a time, in a very dark forest, there was a golden castle with very high towers. A beautiful princess was imprisoned in one of the towers and she was controlled by a dragon inside the castle, and a terrible troll was outside the door of the castle. The poor princess felt alone in the tower with the only company of her cat. The only way to reach the castle was the river, because the forest was too wild. Once a brave prince saw the tower of the golden castle with the poor princess at the window. The brave prince had just his goat that digging found a box with a golden apple in, but any boat to across the river and reach the castle.
While he was thinking he got hungry and ate the golden apple inside the box. After a bite he discovered he had super jump powers, so he jumped so high to reach the princess and save her. The dragon could not stop him because he could not fly so high.
The prince and the princess got married with the goat and the cat as wedding witnesses. 

Un'altra bellissima storia ha scritto Giulia con tanto di illustrazioni, ma di questa vi metto le fotografie perché è davvero bella così come l'ha strutturata.

Dopo questo fantastico fumetto tutto opera di Giulia e della sua grandissima immaginazione e capacità creativa, voglio ringraziare Carolina per le bellissime parole che mi ha lasciato a fine corso.
